An experimental study was conducted on the PC wide-width girder-column connection of the HWG construction method, efficiently applicable to high-load long-span structures. Test variables selected were the column-beam strength ratio and the beam reinforcement disposition. The hysteresis behavior of the beam-column connection was evaluated regarding design criteria, nonlinear pushover analysis, and performance-based design. All specimens exhibited a maximum strength exceeding the nominal strength, and showed superb capabilities in terms of strength preservation, stiffness degradation, energy dissipation up to a drift ratio of 3 % to 4 %. Design and analytical evaluation using nonlinear pushover analysis and performance-based evaluation method also showed that the HWG connection has capabilities equivalent to monolithic reinforced concrete structure.
